Westpro Soccer 6ixes Format
The FA, currently, do not favour competitive football leagues for teams under 10 years of age, therefore, the Soccer 6ixes is organised and run on a friendly competitive basis, e.g. there are no league tables, no 'win at all cost' managers and over zealous parents. The main ethos of the Soccer 6ixes is to improve the technical ability of the younger players and most importantly, play football with a smile on your face.
The next Westpro Soccer fixtures programme will commence on Monday 3 October on the floodlit astro-turf at Eggbuckland Community College and will continue through to July 2012. The following Westpro Teams have entered this season's fixtures.
There is no formal registration of teams/players for the Soccer 6ixes. Players are invited to play for one of the Westpro teams by being part of the WestCountry ProCoaching Programme: After-School Clubs, Development Centres etc... Please read the Soccer 6ixes Rules.
The weekly match fee is £1.50 per player, payable to their manager prior to the game. A referee will be provided for each match. Please ensure that all teams park their vehicles appropriately in the cark park, and not on the grass verges.
Only the management team (Manager & Assistant Manager) and players are allowed within the astro-turf playing area. All parents & supporters are requested to view the matches from outside the playing area. Training shoes only. Football boots are NOT allowed on the playing surface (as recommended by the Astro-turf supplier), this includes moulds & blades.
